I became cool
when I started cycling my BMX to school.

I was a bit obsessed with it, I'd stripped it to bare chrome and replaced every part baring the frame. Suddenly, there were kids 2 or 3 years older wanting a go on it and wanting to know where I'd got such and such, could they buy/swap it, etc.

That's the one time in my life when I was cool. For a few months.
