Our Ginger Fuhrer says that he could still code up a simple game idea in Amstrad Basic, while I'm your man if you ever need to rebuild the suspension on an Austin Allegro (1750 Equipe version). This stuff doesn't leave your mind - tell us about obsolete talents you still have.

Back in my day
it was 01 811 8181. Presumably asking what the number is to call Saturday morning kids' TV is an accurate method of calculating someone's age, like carbon dating or counting the rings of a tree...

That's how I remember it as well
It never seemed to work as well with 0181, and I think the presenters knew it.

When I say it in my head I always hear a group of audience kids saying it......
