Rubbish Towns
I once went to Basildon. It was closed, I got chased by a bunch of knuckle-dragged yobs until I was lost in a maze of concrete alleyways and got food poisoning off pie. Tell us about the awful places you've visited or have your home.
Thanks to SpankyHanky for the suggestion

I live in the "lovely" town of Weston-super-Mare
A seaside resort for the denzens of the council estates of birmingham.
It also had at last count, 14% of the drink/drug rehab beds in the entire country... more than manchester, liverpool and london put together!
A large proportion of these lovely individuals, mostly ones that fail to be rehabilitated, stay here after their program.. enticed by the plentiful supply of drugs supplied by the dealers that congregate here following the junkies.
If you get the opportunity to visit, I can only recommend you turn it down.

I saw the plume of smoke from my bedroom window
but decided against the perils of a trip into town to laugh at it burning

Theres a
quaint retro cafe near the sea front worth a visit.
If only for the owner to take away your fish and chips because he didnt like the shape of the fish you were served with and insists on bringing you a fresh one.
WTF?

Last time I went there
someone rode a motorbike through the pub I was in. And the locals acted as though it was normal.
Love it.

Not just me then.
Wonderful here isn't it. Used to be full of Brummies but is it just me or is the town stuffed with Londoners now all intent on doing fuck all, all day and getting charity cheques for their free lodgings.?

I spent the first 19 years of my life in that hell hole
My family all still live there, so I have to go back occassionally, and I swear it gets more depressing everytime.
My mum lives round the corner from a halfway house for crackheads just out of prison, which means she's too scared to leave the house after 5 o clock.
On the plus side, I saw Nick cave once at my local shops, during one of his 'visits' to Broadway Lodge.
