it's 'caps lock' on US keyboards
but I don't know what 'shift iock' is...
EDIT: Duh, I couldn't figure out why the "L" in "LOCK" wasn't uppercase.

I'v just looked at 7 different keyboards I have lying around.
And they all say (Caps Lock) on them. and I'm not in the US.
I have always wondered what the shift key is when I hear people mention it, now I know...!

A far as I am aware...
Caps Lock only does letters and Shift Lock includes the other keys.

Edit: and I have a UK keyboard with 'Caps Lock' on - all this time I thought I was just a crap typist and now I realise it's just because I have a faulty keyboard!
