I notice a Star Wars film is on there
Why?
Scratch that, I'm nailing the lid on this can of pedantry-worms

Wikipedia told me to do it!
Apparently it is a Space Opera, a sub genre of science fiction.

it was originally a TV movie, so feature length rather them episodes
it was after that it was turned into a series.

I think this one is going to be the most hotly debated one!
I left star trek out on purpose to annoy trekkies ;)

A Monkey which grew to huge proportions with scientists going to see it?

Ha, I'd forgotten how upset
the film adaptation of I, Robot made me at the time
Edit:adaptation coincidentally sharing the same name

Edit:
I really liked the film (except the cameos from Shia LaButtfuck)
But I haven't read the book, is that what you're getting at?

Yes
It's a book of short stories exploring the effect and behaviour of Asimov's three laws of robotics. The first of which is "A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm".
But the temptation to add a killer robot got the better of them, pretty much missing the point of the book.

But ...
**Spoiler alert **
I thought the point of the film was that the robot did what he did for the good of humanity rather than an individual human, often referred to as the "zeroth" law of robotics in Asimov's universe. So it was in keeping with the theme of Asimov's robot works, if not the individual "I, Robot" book.

I did
There aren't many sci-fi films that begin with Y
In fact I'm really struggling to think of another

I struggled to find another,
I found one site that suggested Young Einstein, I couldn't bring myself to draw that.

I really liked that when I was a kid
I doubt it's stood the test of time though
Young Frankenstein, maybe?

Young Frankenstein, maybe?
*thinks* you know, I don't think there have been any other ones beginning in Y.
Ones that don't require you to know any Hong Kong bootleggers with film reels older than film itself, anyway.
EDIT: Oh yeah, Young Frankenstein!

Yes, exactly this
that's how I got it
edit/ in fact I got a few by thinking of a film beginning with the right letter and then going, 'oh yeah, course'.

That is indeed excellent.
Shonky FX, six words of dialogue, (mostly 'Yor!' and 'rargh!') and a flimsy punch up.
Been too long, man. I'm totally adding this to my download list.

Not forgetting the behemoth that is, Reb Brown.
Check out Strike Commando, Space Mutiny, Mercenary Fighters, etc. Reb is an absolute joy to watch.
