For me, the big personal differences are
she wasn't brought up with a sense of entitlement instilled in her, and she at least had some contact with and understanding of the working class, even if she often despised them.

every time he appears. It does feel like the bad old days all over again.

I think in some ways he's worse
but he's a far weaker character, and won't last as long.
