If 32KB of memory serves me right,
the one and only difference was Mode 7, the BBC Teletext mode. Electrons didn't have it, BBC Micros did.

Nah, big difference in memory access contention from cheaper circuitry design
The picture generation on the Electron tied up the memory way more than on the Beeb, slowing down any code running on it, particularly anything redrawing graphics.
