# Is it really a meme? I'm a bit out of touch.

A meme is just something that will be shared widely.

# It isn’t a meme until it’s widely shared tho

That’s what I was saying though. That this will be widely shared. And now it’s front paged so it’s now a meme.

# I dunno dude, there's maybe 30 of us here regularly, is that 'going viral' is it? Also I notice you've enlarged your definition of meme, so now it means 'b3ta fp' too.
It's not a big deal and I'd leave it, but I see a lot of suffering in your future if you don't adopt a more realistic definition of meme, and I'm a deeply compassionate person.

# Meme is another young person's word, it means anything at all now

# No, Dawkins coined it in 1976 and it has a very specific meaning.
When children misuse words its up to us grown ups to correct them, otherwise you end up with bad meaning good, sick meaning well, etc.

# And religion is the biggest meme of all!
BTW - Saw a video that suggested that "bad meaning good, sick meaning well, etc" comes from a reaction to the (white) establishment demonising the (black) underclass, along the lines of "If those oppressors say I'm bad, then bad must mean good."

May or may not be true, but interesting.

# I saw a study where they cut worms up into smaller and smaller segments, until the segments could no longer regenerate.
The study was carried out by children, isn't that sweet?
