I entered a competition
and I even saw my entry on the tv, pinned to a wal along with a thousand other "also-rans" - but I never got a badge. Wasn't until I looked at their site recently that I finally saw you had to actually make it onto the TV as one of the finalists to get a badge for compo entry!
Nowadays if you email them and it gets read out you can get a badge, how lame is that?

i wrote them a letter
asking if there was a fan club. They replied saying they liked to think that everyone who watched the program felt that they were part of a collective community but would I like a badge for being so lovely.
