I think I used 'disparition'just because it's the french word for it.
As words ending in 'tion' are often the same in english and french I used 'disparition' without checking it was the proper english word.

I'm not trying to correct your English -my own is too wobbly for me to do that.
It's just that "disparition", while quite correct, is a rare word in English, that you seldom see.

I vote for disparitionand award you 10 points. Unfortunately "disparate" means different. There's no "disparate" verb in my dictionary, so I'm editing one in by hand. Je le redact avec mes mains... C'est l'extremite de ma francais...
