i really don't know what tumbleweed means. my dictionary tells me sth. like 'steppe runner' thaz can't be it, can it?

maybe spelt it wrong...
but Tumbleweed, is...erm...like a ball of weed that just blows past in the wind like in the old wester movies, or when a bad joke is cracked:)

It's more of a metaphor...
Tumbleweeds were often seen in deserted "ghost towns" in old westerns.
