There are different degrees of blindness.And yet after a certain point of vision impairedness you're legally blind. Many can see enough to navigate around but have no hope of reading text.
Funniest thing I've seen (in its category) was a 'blind' friend of mine playing Space Invaders with his face about an inch from the computer screen :)
