Oh my god!
For a minute there I thought that was a corn bunting and was about to tell you so, but after a bit of investigation I realised that it is in fact a song sparrow (Melospiza melodia). It is quite common in the US & Canada but UK 'boarders' may never have seen such a bird. In future I would be grateful if you could refer to birds by their full taxanomic name in order to avoid this sort of confusion. I'm impressed by the fact that you chose to put the bird in it's correct habitat, ie shrubby areas along the edge of forests. Well done.
