Haha, well i like him.
Lead Baloon is a bit ironic title, as the sitcom jokes go down like a well...

yep
I saw it once and thought the samething. He wanted to call it shit sandwich apparently, I guess a tap reference may have improved it slightly!

Reminds me of a sitcom I tried to pitch to the beeb a few years ago.
It was kind of a bitter comic series starring Bernard Bresslaw (RIP) as a self-centred comedy writer trying to cope with life's day-to-day problems.
The bastads still haven't called back.

I fucking hate Curb Your Enthusiasm
Mainly because Larry David is an unfunny miserable cunt.

Arrested Development is much better

It's absolutely fantastic, and it really threw me as it is so intrinsically unamerican in its humour.

It's like someone in the US actually got our warped sense of humour and 'had a go'. It worked. Brilliant

No.
Americans can have warped senses of humour without it being a copy of anything British.

that being said, there are so many british elements
Mitchell Hurwitz, the creator, has said he's been influenced a lot
by some of the anarchic Brit humour in writing it

Excellent
Since I hate Ricky Gervais and Curb... Not seen Lead Baloon, but I'll say that sucks too (working on the law of averages).

Fuck Yes!
Last week's episode of Lead Balloon totally ripped off a scene from Extras. The main character is sharing a dressing-room with a has-been comedian and is embarrassed when he's trying to talk to him and sees him in some state of undress. Not even a homage, a rip off
