ActuallyI came over here looking for some relief, something to make me laugh. This particular incident just kinda hit me hard, as it wasn't that long ago that I was in engineering school- and in less than two years, my son will be doing it too.

As I said, personally I fully understand your grief. And yes, I had a feeling I was preaching to the choir, that's why I tried to be careful to specify 'you as a nation', as opposed to you personally.

did you consider that possibly, if you're seriously looking for escapism in the wake of a major tragic world eventb3ta may be best avoided for a few days. just some advice.
