Aw, thanks, Dix
I still have my sad days, but they are getting further apart.

The sad days will never go away but the good memories will shine through :)

They burn so bright but for a fraction of our lives.
Sorry, got something in my eye

I had Timothy Catchermouse from the age of 2
until I was 19/20. He had a good innings.

Kimba was born on the end of my bed in 1993
He had never known a day when I wasn't around, apart from my brief sojourn to the USA in late '07, and Russell told me he went off his food and sat at the front window almost non-stop for the three weeks I was away. I decided that I couldn't do that to him again. Little hairy bugger slept next to my head every single night - getting used to that warm furry body not being there whenever I reached up to 'his' pillow has been hard.

I picked Timmy out of the pet shop, and the night he died, I got inm from the pub and saw he was on his way out. He hadn't been well for a couple of weeks. I sat up with him till the early hours till he died. I loved him so much :(

It's good that you were able to be with him
when his time came. That's the ultimate thing we can do, to be there for them, comfort them, it's what I hope for myself when my time comes. I bet you are teary now, just thinking about Timmy. You'd be in good company. And yeah, I miss my little man something dreadful. My, it's dusty in here...
