having had to deal with a whole raft of ministers in my current role, including the fat one eyed Scottish git, and their tendency to change their minds more than they change their underwear, refer everything to 'special advisers' (ie spin doctors) and generally treat us like shit....

but then again, if they are more predictable then that can't do anyone any harm. The current lot have been jockeying for this election since the last one - and the one before that. An ex colleague worked in No.10 in the first year under Bliar and all they were interested in was staying in. Sod the policies. I think it showed.
