A hat for pants?
That might look silly.
I will struggle valiantly on.

I will struggle valiantly on.
I see smells.
If they're unpleasant, then I see wavey lines.
If they're nice, I see flowers and sparkles.

LOLS.
In other news:
Someone I know put as their facebook status "I can't be arsed to go to work today." but DID actually go to work (arrived on time etc)
While at work they were then given a disciplinary notice about the facebook status.
Changing facebook status to "And now I've been given a disciplinary for my previous status" (while not on work time) has lead to them being suspended without pay, and other staff have been instructed not to talk to them...
what the fuck?

I suspect it isn't.
The other staff being told not to speak to them could easily be described as bullying behaviour too.

Well I doubt there's a paper trail
and I'm sure if she kicks up a fuss they can claim she was "acting unsuitably around customers" or something equally nebulous to try and justify it.

Obvously a cock of a manager.
But using facebook, twitter or things that can be traced back to you to complain about work or people you know is never a good idea.

It hardly sounds like complaining, though.
Sounds like one of those bosses that can't accept that everyone on their payroll is doing a job because they need the money, not out of love for the company. And running a company like that, is there any reason people complain about having to get up for work?

^this
bosses often think they own you and/or your soul, and at all times you must be unflinchingly loyal and non-critical of whoever it is you work for
I have a big axe to grind about this kind of thing (10 years ago but still rankles)

It doesn't sound like something to get suspended for
but some people are utter cunts.

Fatuous twaddle.

Thanks, but I'm not really a 'cakey' person.
But I do like cream horns. Really, not just for the lulz.

this is because people (in this case, bosses) are twats
things like that make me mad, because there's generally no comeback, other than the employee either telling them to shove their job up their arse (risky, bad result for employee) or attempting to drag them through a tribunal (there's enough b3tans who've had this sort of thing who will tell you it ain't easy)
people are twats

sounds like a great case for suing the employer
tell them to take it to citizens advice

Sadly I think they are more likely to take it to
"I'm 17 and frankly New Look can fuck off"
as it requires less effort.
I will encourage the seeking of expert opinion though.
