Thing is, right. I can't stand the pantomime macabre about slipknot.but on an individual basis, if you don't listen to lyrics like I don't some of the racket is prang-on in a kind of mindless oblivion headbang mosh way. Also their drummer is considered to be one of the best (technical prowess if not subtlety of expression) by other drummers -make of that what you will- but I have one track by them on my phone. Mind you I also have 2 albums by The Buggles so....
