We've had questions about lies and liars in the past, but this time we're asking about the sort of fantasist who constantly claims they've got a helicopter in the garden or was "second onto the balcony at the Iranian Embassy siege". Tell us about the cobblers you've been told, or the complete lies you've come out with.
Thanks to dozer for the suggestion

A guy I worked with had been suffering with persistent headaches so his GP recommended an appointment with the optician.
He told me later that the optician had told him
"No wonder you're getting headaches! You've got better than 20/20 vision"

The optometrist who actually did the eye exam won't have said anything of the kind, but he'll be going off the last thing he heard, because that's what every thick cunt who has a fucking eye exam does.

only the guy I worked with (the bullshitter, if you will), who was trying to convince us (and himself) that his eyesight wasn't borked!

Ganymede and Callisto get far enough away from Jupiter to be distinguishable. It's mainly the glare of Jupiter that would make it difficult (so sharp-sighted people would be able to see them if they block out Jupiter behind a post or whatever).
So it's just credible that a few, rare people would have exactly the right combination of sharp focus and glare resistance to see them.
Simple to call them on it, though, as they're easy to see with binoculars...
