Perhaps.
But some of the right-wing craziness going on in Merkinland at the moment actually worries me. Check out Michele Bachmann, Glenn Beck, or footage of Sarah Palin's "teabagger" fans being interviewed. Scary stuff.

Fuck 'em.
Really. Palin's going nowhere, and Glenn Beck is far less powerful than either he or his enemies think.

The more they trot out, though...
Shows their desperation.

Rush Limbaugh no longer garners the mass audience he used to? Bring out Glenn Beck. Ann Coulter, once the pin-up of aging CEOs, actually sounded sane and told the birthers (those claiming Obama isn't a US citizen) to get over the non-issue and move on to more substantive things? Well, Palin seems to be doing good, so team her up with Michele Bachmann so they can appeal top aging CEO's lesbian fantasies. Check out the Republican's leader Michael Steele being caught footing the bill for donors' lesbian bondage show.

Despite the hype, Beck doesn't have the audience Limbaugh once commanded before people realized he was a drug-addled blowhard pimping for the Republican party line. The teabaggers? Seems most of them are out of work and have too much time. A former Bush aide who wrote an insider book on his former boss's administration -- David Frum -- was fired from a conservative "think tank" for saying they suffered on health care by listening to exrtremists, and it's no longer Fox News working for the Republicans but Republicans working for Fox News.

Yes, a group of idiots has found their voice -- which is parroting demagouges. Seems they're out of step with most US citizens, though. And they stink more and more of desperation.

Dr Preference and ChiTownGuy...
I really hope you two are right!

Oh and birthers? ROFL. Orly Taitz, even though she has some (hopelessly deluded) followers, is one wingnut who actually amuses, rather than worries me. I mean, the woman is a real-life cartoon character. She's making satire obsolete. Orly? YA RLY.

By the way: I'm a chick from Luxembourg (some tiny-assed country) who is glad to know that there apparently are still a lot of sane, decent people in the US (i.e. the most powerful nation on the planet). I'm not anti-American, just anti unthinking reactionary twattiness.
