Panties
not me (as they say) but my wife.
why can she not stand a perfectly reasonable descriptive term for women's underpants?
she is almost physically repelled by the word
any women out there the same?

I'm a bloke
And I refer to my sensible boxer shorts as "knickers".

mmmm
bet that annoys your other half!

ughh
It is just such a girly, frilly word. Hate it.
(, Mon 12 Apr 2010, 8:13, closed)
sorry
but gusset might be another.....

knickers, underwear, even pants
are all fine, but panties just winds me up! It's an awful word!

With you...
...100%

'Panties' just adds a whole veneer of kiddie fiddling to the lingerie canon...

Try referring to them as....
...gashbags, bush balaclavas, hairy wound hammocks, or fishpot tea cosies. She'll be begging for panties.
(, Mon 12 Apr 2010, 10:53, closed)
thankyou
i will try
but I suspect my life expectancy has just decreased
and I feel slightly sick now
(, Mon 12 Apr 2010, 11:19, closed)
Eurgh...
...it's such a nasty, mimsy little word that it makes my flesh crawl. The only time you really hear it used is in advertising and by pervy blokes explaining what they'd like to do to you, neither of which have helped the reputation of the word.

I prefer 'pants' for big pants, or 'squirrel-guard' for a thong.

I hate it because it's a stupid word.
Just say pants or knickers.
(, Mon 12 Apr 2010, 12:23, closed)
Me!
I never ever use that word! It's just... wrong.
