I don't understand the attractionSmaug says: Ricky Gervais. Lesbian pr0n. Going into a crowded bar, purely because it's crowded. All these things seem to be popular with everybody else, but I just can't work out why. What leaves you cold just as much as it turns everyone else on?

Pubs. You're doing it wrongI don't know which pubs you are going to (or indeed the last time you went to one as there has been a smoking ban for quite some time). But there are pubs all over the place that are far nicer than the ones you describe!
