Have you ever been photographed sat on a balcony eating a croissant; or wallowed in luxury just for the sake of it? What's the most ostentatious thing you ever seen or done?

I'm very lucky
I'm in a position where I can treat my family to most of this stuff. The best views or experiences mean nothing compared to my daughters smiles though.
Apologies for parental bleugh

I wouldn't bother.
Spoiling kids rotten will inevitably lead to them only affording you sufficient respect to get the next OTT gift, being obnoxious pricks, and going completely off the rails, with horrible consequences.
That might be worth saving the popcorn for, I suppose (odds are good that either Channel 4 or BBC3 will want to televise it).

Treating your kids to something nice isn't spoiling them rotten.
