I agree
When I went to see the film in the cinema, I still genuinely believed that it was real, recovered footage.
The filmmakers and producers tried to convince as many gullible people as possible that it was real and kept the lie going as long as they could - giving false interviews in newspapers, putting loads of weird shit on the internet for us kids to find.
I'm not usually so supportive of advertisers flat-out lying, but I'm glad I was gullible enough when I was 15 to get the bejesus scared out of me good and proper.
Great film - probably not worth a rewatch though. Can't wait to have kids so I can tell them it's real.
