Our friend always carries 30ft of lightweight rope with him. We took the piss until we heard he got stuck in a lift, and managed to get everyone out in 5 mins.
What odd things to you always carry with you?

Essential Items
OMG, this question is for me.
I'm not big into fashion accessories, so I carry a green Eddie Bauer backpack with me everywhere I go (even to the [Canadian] National Arts Centre to see plays and shit). I always have in my green bag:
mini first aid kit
tylenol
advil
aspirin (in case someone has a heart attack)
latex gloves
bandages
swiss army knife
lighter
LED flashlight with compass and magnifying glass
extra "feminine hygiene" pads
binoculars
cough drops
an "Authentic British Bobby whistle" (gift from my dad)
spare tissues
pens
emergency dog leash
small container of freeze-dried liver (dog treats)
brush
lip balm
travel toothbrush and toothpaste kit
dental floss
cough drops
candies
gum
spare change (emergency bus fare)
alcohol hand sanatizer
sunglasses
And I always have something to read.
My friends make fun of me, but Canada is a big place, and I'm well prepared just in case I get lost in the woods.
