I've said this here beforebut you can use photocopied money in pokie machines. The Department of Fair Trading actually warned us about a bunch of people doing it in Sydney when I was still managing bars.
The really smart licensee put the notice on the wall in the gaming cage facing the public, and I caught at least 4 people reading it before I moved it. Just make sure you're not under the security cameras.
