Every woman I know follows this rule.I'm convinced women want to pee in every toilet they see, me included. (As in, I follow this rule too, not that I'm a toilet women want to pee in.)
However, it has done me well! Certainly compared to some menfolk I know who have ended up missing the ends of cinema films/having to find some AWFUL public toilets/have had to hold it in until it hurts/ect.
