Maybe he takes a protractor to the pub.There are 5 people in my household. In that situation you get quite good at guessing 72° when it comes to sharing out a cake/pie/tart equally.

I'm no good at anglesWhenever I try and cut a cake into an odd number of pieces I always end up with one that is smaller than the rest.
Luckily cos I cut it I'm closest so I nab myself the biggest piece, omnomnomnom!
