Within my imbecilic 9 year old head, this translated into 'go and twat the wasp nest with the swingball'. I guess I was curious as to what the wasps would do, I soon found out

I did similar.
Mine translated into 'poke the fucker with a stick.'

I think I still catch the occasional whiff of TCP in my nostrils.

me too
but mine was " i wonder if I can kick this football, at that wasp's nest" - being 11 and not very accurate, I expected to miss...strangely, the wasps knew I was the one who had kicked it...no one else got stung, I got about 9 or 10 separate stings...
