As a cyclist myself
and a pedestrian, I know only too well of the idiots in cars. I've no problem with the vast majority of cyclists, even if they are on the pavement. It's the ones who treat the pavement as their own personal racetrack and expect pedestrians to get the fuck out of the way. I've lost count of the number of times when I've stood stock still on the pavement and had a glaring cyclist complain that I won't stand aside.
I've been knocked off my bike twice (once left unconcious on a busy road while the offending drive fucked off sharpish). Both times because the car driver wanted to turn left into a side street and either couldn't see me (broad daylight) or couldn't believe that I wanted to continue on down the road I was on.
But the best example of stupid driving was one of our beloved taxi drivers (where DO they train them?) He decided to reverse up a bus lane, on a one way street, through a pedestrian crossing which I was using at the time to cross this busy main road. Of course, he couldn't see that the lights were red so just kept reversing, clipping me as I crossed the road. Oh I just wish I'd had the foresight to pull out my phone and video the incident.
Right, glad that's off my chest - Honest I'm not usually angry, only when people keep trying to kill me.
