It does make you wonderwhat kind of person would believe in a 'religion' that was made up by a sci-fi novelist. It's not even like he pretended otherwise. It's like knowing beyond all doubt that Jesus was made up and STILL believing in Christianity. Why?

@frankspencerah yes but in two thousand years people could be looking for fabled first editions of the books of their prophet... (Aliens coming to earth is far more believable than an all seeing all powerful entity)

I dated a scientologist......and I don't feel the slightest bit ashamed to say that I left her when she told me her religion.
Unreal: I looked as deeply into scientlogy as I could.. absoloutly insane shit.
Just look up the "E-Meter" ...
... and know that scientologists are trained to seek people who seem lost and lacking in confidence when looking for new members. ... no, not because they're more easily duped... it's because they're *cough* in neeed of help.
