...chances are we might have a rather good form of VR (virtual reality) within the next 20 years.

Who cares about the Mountain of Mars, teleportation or aliens when you can have virtual sex with anyone of your choosing (yes, there are lots of applications for really good VR but obviously that will be the big favourite).

And mate, if you think you got it unlucky being born now, tell me a better time in history to have been born. Because go back more than 100 years and things like toothache would have been somewhat nastier experiences than they are now.

Trust me, we live somewhat better lives than Renaissance princes. And hang on for VR - I really don't think it's more than a generation away now.
