There is even logic to reinforce the correct way; this paper, this lovely, soft, absorbent paper, is situated in a room regarded mostly for its moisture content. The second the shower is turned on, air currents and airborne water vapour conspire to stick the damn stuff straight to the wall, leading to unpleasant 'fingers through the paper' incidents.
