On the crying-kids-being-screamed-at front.
At the shops, on the bus, if there's a bawling child it's generally accompanied by one of those hissing voices that tries to combine hushed tones with threat that carries particularly well to everyone in a twenty foot radius.
"Shut the bloody hell up you little sh*t!"
For the most part it's issued by a young woman with hair pulled back painfully tight (what do they call that? Chav facelift, or something?) wearing a tracksuit and a scowl.

Anyway, drifting...have a click for encompassing the frustration better'n I can.
