Why is itthat most homosexuals tend to react to the word 'faggot' as if you were calling them a nigger?
The word was in common use as a fairly unhurtful generic insult long before they put up a stink about it...

erbecause it's not a generic insult any more, people use it as a derogatory term for gay people.
As for the OP, I say gay a lot, but it doesn't have anything to do with homosexuality, it's just a word for something annoying.
