We have neighbours
In an identical house to ours. They are unemployed, have four kids and they are so much better off than us. My wife and I both work full time, have one child and we struggle. I can't understand why people on benefits don't struggle to make ends meet, surely we can't be giving them that much money!

Maybe they're claiming cash in hand work on the sly.
Or they spend the child benefits that are meant to buy clothes etc. on gin and fags.

You'd be surprised...
Not only how much money they're given, but how much money they don't have to spend on things like Council Tax, prescription charges, sight tests and dentists, and how much can be claimed back through tax credits.
Again, I'm not anti-unemployed, but I'm definitely not in favour of a system that makes it more profitable for your neighbours to be out of work than for you to be in work.
Crikey, I'm starting to sound like a politician...
