Random Acts of Kindness
Crackhouseceilidhband asks: Has anyone ever been nice to you, out of the blue, for no reason? Have you ever helped an old lady across the road, even if she didn't want to? Make me believe that the world is a better place than the media and experience suggest

Sounds good!
Mine's not bad either, chucked us £30 when I moved in so we could all go out for drinks and get to know each other, and regularly sends us Christmas presents. In turn, we look after his house and do all the odd little bits that need it too. Some people are nice.

This just reminded me of something else he did, though a lot of people are saying he should have done it anyway but again I can't see any other landlords doing it.
Christmas 2010, we had problems with the boiler. It was running harder than it should have been due to a faulty pump or something or other, can't remember exactly and now matter who he called he couldn't get anyone to come out and fix it, he phoned, I phoned two of the others phoned and yet no matter what we said we just couldnt get anyone round so it resulted in the bills coming in at a stupid amount so he gave use 200 quid towards it.
Also yesterday morning I woke up with a face that had swollen up to a point where I made Joseph Merrick look like Brad Pitt as I'd had an allergic reaction to something, which considering I'd not eaten, drank or used any cleaning products that I don't normally use is a complete mystery as to what caused it. It was the first time this had happened so I panicked a bit and took myself off to A&E in the hope they could sort it or at least work out what it was and while I was waiting to be seen G rang up to ask something and the general chat that normally ensues so I just mentioned I was in A&E and why I was there, ten minutes later he walks in just to keep me company and give me a lift home afterwards. His reason? His wife was annoying him and he was looking for an excuse to get out the house for a bit.
On a side note we still dont know what caused the swelling but I'm on some awesome antibiotics that knock me out. I've only seen about two hours of today so far
