Camping on a dried-up river bed, we discovered when it rained during the night and half of our equipment and clothes were already most of the way to the Irish Sea why you shouldn't camp on a dried-up riverbed. Tell us about crappy holidays.

I had a lovely camping holiday in Scotland
But in retrospect I think we were very lucky with the weather. I recall getting up early one morning and looking out over Glencoe and it was absolutely sunny, peaceful and beautiful. It wouldn't have been the same in the pouring rain.
