Terrible ParentingMy parents used to lock my brother, sister and I in the car while they went to the pub for a "quick one" after work. This quick one might last several hours, during which they would send bottles of Indian Tonic Water to us by way of refreshment.
On one particularly cold evening, bored stupid, we lit a small bonfire on the back seat of the car using the cigarette lighter and the contents of the glove box. We owe our lives to passing winos. (BTW: Please no more Maddie or Jesus gags, they've been done.)

when you have your own kids......A word to all those who are scared to have kids in case they pass on all that shit - its scary but you'll be fine. You'll spend all your time wracked with worry and panic that you have somehow fucked up your kids but you wont have because you are ever vigilant. You'll be so detirmined you won't repeat the cycle. So you won't. You'll be fine. You'll have days when you are convinced that you've been excatly like your mum/dad but just slap yourself round the face and remind yourself that you won't let that happen. Cos you won't.
