But seriously, the North East apparently has a burgeoning games software industry, so if you don't mind uprooting...
I'm no expert, but I think Tomb Raider was developed here. Which would make sense as Lara Croft wears the sort of skimpy outfits beloved of Geordie women in winter.

The North East was, incidentally, where I was (end of contract)- but unfortunately, no luck with the other studios around there.
As for TR, the series was developed in the UK up until Angel Of Darkness, which was poorly recieved. Since then, it's all been done in the US.
