Petra would be interesting.I was in Iran this year, sounds kind of similar to Syria, the people were really lovely. I've vowed not to go anywhere where they have those mosques decorated with blue tiles for the next few years though, simply because when I look at my photos I can't remember whether I'm looking at Iran, Uzbekistan etc.
