Yes it does
Once you factor in income tax, national insurance, student loans, pension contributions and leap years, and looking all the above up. Like I said, it looks like work.
I won't eat slower. Maybe buy cheaper sandwiches.
EDIT - of course your objection also makes the assumption that one's entire working life consists of nothing but sandwich consumption. And whilst in one or two jobs I've come pretty close to that nirvana, at the end of the day Greggs can always produce unidentified grey meat smothered in mayonnaise faster than I can gain weight.
