Rainbow
Seriously... as a kid if everyone at the end of Rainbow said 'goodbye' (i.e. inc. Rod, Jane and Freddy) then the TV would have to be switched off.
If just Geoffrey, George, Zippy and Bungle said 'goodbye' then I could watch the next program.
Harsh.... but ultimately fair.... or not.

» Mini Cabs From Hell
In poorer days...
Friend and I get a minicab for the 5 miles home, normally, £12-15. We'd previously agreed that £10 would be much more favourable so plead to cap'n cab that this is all we have and he reluctantly agrees..
On arrival I proceed to blurt out to my mate that I've only got a £20 note so can he give the man his money.
Cunningly denied his £2 premium the driver blows his top and threatens to call the police. I say "go on then, they'll be exceedingly interested to find out how you managed to do a 20 minute run in just 7 minutes".
I'm sure he uttered the arabic for twunt as he ordered us from his cab, sans two quid extra....

Jap's Eye
During conversation (in Japan) with a fellow Brit and some local engineers I inadvertently used said phrase.
"What is meaning of Jap's Eye?" asked one of the Japanese present.
Um....shuffle shuffle.... well just how could I even begin to explain?

In no particular order
When the toilet roll has been fitted so the sheet appears behind the roll instead of over the front like a waterfall.
Edith Bowman who, for example, failed to pronounce Keighley correctly the other day.
Actually, I suppose Radio One almost in its entirity. Maybe I'm just too much of a TOG.
The fact that if your dog goes stray and gets up to mischief you get punished, but if your kids prowl the streets and cause havoc no one seems to get punished.

Non-serrated rotating cutters
Meat slicers, paper trimmers etc. Anything with a smooth rotating blade.
Absolutely fine with table saws or similar disc saws with serrated blades.
