» Stupid Dares
of stupid dares...
Whilst Living in Liverpool we did some silly things whilst drunk.
1) Came back from a night on the lash and dared each other to eat Dave's lizards pet food which it didnt seem interested in. Live locusts. They taste like luettice, didnt like the legs too much. This was all well and good until Dave decided he was going to eat some of his pet snakes food. Frozen baby mice... We had to stop him there as I'm sure that wouldnt do him any good whatsoever.
2) Dared Dave to answer the door to the pizza delivery guy in only his boxers with his snake wrapped around his neck, which he dutifuly did. The pizza guy ran off screaming... somebody turned up a half hour later to get the money. Never laughed so much... really funny stuff.
No money ever changed hands... hmmmm

Drilling Tiles
We had the bathroom tiled not so long ago and I was putting up a new bathroom cabinet and had to drill two holes in the new tiles. Trying to get the bit to take on the first hole was proving quite troublesome. After about 15 minutes all I seemed to have achieved was a small circle just bigger than a pin hole. It looked like a tiny scorch mark.
Hmmmm thinks I... “Must be the wrong sort of drill bit or sumfing like that”. So off to Home Base I go and purchase some new bits.
When I returned home and put the new bit in the drill I realised that I had knocked the switch to reverse and had been trying to drill a tile with the drill rotating the wrong way.
Those two holes were drilled in less than 5 minutes after that.
Doh!

Gummy bears
As a small child I discovered that if you leave a gummy bear in a tub of water for about a week it grows absolutely MASSIVE! (think about 10cm long)
Trouble is they disintegrate when you touch them...
I imagine it would work for Haribo as well, just not got around to trying it...

More shoddy pliers
Pound land pliers.
When using them to try and straighten some part of my old lawn mower they snapped in two sending a large sharp peice of metal flying past my head, narrowly missing my eye.
On the plus side there was a nice whooshing sound as it flew past so it wasnt all bad.

XBox Mod
About a year or so ago I was putting an XBox back together in front of the TV. I was kneeling over the XBox trying to seat the hard drive when I managed to wedge the HD into the power XBox power supply which was still connected to the mains. I then got 240 volts through both hands that were holding the HD though both arms and through my knees into the carpet. This lasted for what seemed like 5 days but was probably only 5 seconds. I moved slightly and the HD no longer touched the power supply and I was free.
I then sat back and cried a little.
Electricity hurts.
