» Strict Parents

I'm not a kid, I'm 26, and thankfully moving out in 2 weeks time
Mainly because my relationship with my parents has broken down severely, to the point that I am banned from putting any food in "their" fridge. I bought some bacon and cheese, and they kept taking it out of the fridge and putting on the side, until they got fed up after I kept just putting it back.

Nothing else appears to be off limits though, I can still use other facilities. They will get a shock though when I leave and take "my broadband", "my graphics card, operating system and Office 2003" from my dad's PC.

I can be childish too, it seems.

» Where is the strangest place you have slept?

In an attempt to stay up all night on the Internet at Uni
My friend and I took loads of proplus, and foolishly mixed this with vodka.

I woke up on the computer lab floor just as a class was coming in.

After the Christmas do at work, my colleague woke up on a building site, cuddling a steel girder.

» Road Rage

Last week
I was driving home from work, and I could smell smoke, a burning engine oil smell. I carried on, and eventually caught up with the culprit. It was some kind of MG Rover coupe thing, but I could see exactly what because of the black smoke belching out of the twin exhaust. I could hardly see where I was going, so I started flashing my lights at the person to pull over, because they really needed to get a car mechanic asap, as thier car was burning more oil than petrol.

Anyhoo, they didn't pull over, for several miles. We got to the roundabout as you come into the town where I live, and they stopped. I pulled up beside them, tooted the horn and wound the window down in order to tell them that thier car was in serious trouble and needed seeing to, as I am nice like that.

All I got for my trouble was a two finger salute and being told that my own car was a "geek's car".

At least mine doesn't create it's own A-Team-esque smokescreen. Twunt.

» Housemates from hell

My uni flatmates were not the best
Various annoyances ranged from raping the 512Kbps bandwidth we shared, putting so much in the washing machine at once that the clothes in the centre didn't actually get wet, walking in on my boyfriend and I in bed together, not once, but twice.

The best thing about the place was that I had my own private bathroom, so I never needed to venture into the other one, which the 3 boys used.

When it came to moving out in July 2003, I went in there expecting it to be filty dirty, which it was. I thought I would clean it so we would have some hope of getting our deposit back. I enquired as to what the orange gunk was down the side of the shower, which I was told was from when Stephen had been sick after the Law ball. In October 2001. Ewww.

» Unexpected Good Fortune

When I was at university
I worked at the student bar. One of the full time staff had the same name as me. She was changing the barrells once and went into labour, which was a shock for her as she didn't know she was pregnant.

I got a shock when I was paid her maternity pay the next month! Woo! Much beer ensued. I've never told anyone that before either.
