» Spoilt Brats

Don't judge me
Ok so I spoiled my only son a bit, but I was trying to overcompensate.
I'm a single mum, I couldn't even tell him who his dad is and he always seemed such a special boy.
He was ok growing up despite my smothering him with love and attention and what little material goods we had.
But lately as he has grown into a young man he has been attracting trouble of a very bad sort.
You see he has become involved in a political movement, street protests, violent disorder that kind of thing.
He has been arrested for daubing anti-government graffitti on the walls of the city.
His fellow agitators look upon him as some kind of leader, just today there was a crowd of them outside the house calling his name and encouraging him to lead a violent uprising against our colonial masters.
Well I told them in no uncertain terms I said

"He's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy.

Java
I have always loved a good cup of coffee and bought myself a good italian stove top pot from bialetti that cost quite a few quid.

The best brew that I have found for ages however is the Java single source coffee from Aldi, the only one with a flavour rating of 5 on a scale of one to 5 and its cheap as chips.

Its like crack. it even gives me the shakes if I drink too many cups (well mugs really).
Merry Christmas B3tans I'm off for some Java.

Local variants
The list of common stuff from Dublin is a bit different and includes.

Wearing your pyjamas to the shops.

Addressing people as bud.

Aslan (band).

Keeping horses in council estates.

Celtic Jerseys.

Sovereign rings.

Tattoos.

Saying inanyway for anyway.

Calling the zoo the ehzoo.

Any locals care to add to this list.

» The nicest thing someone's ever done for me

Polite beggar
I was out in town recently and saw a chap begging in one of the usual spots.
Now usually when they say "got some spare change for a hostel bed" I reply "no but heres some money for smack or cider"
This guy surprised me by greeting my handful of change with the totally unexpected
"You're very kind, thank you and have a good evening"
Made my night for some reason
