More Orwell everywhere would be well nifty
'The whole experience of being hit by a bullet is very interesting and I think it is worth describing in detail'.

For the definitive 1984 film try this link for the BBCs 1954 production. Just Awesome!

"He shot me, that's fascist"
Edit: I should probably have included some indication that I actually know that Orwell hated the dilution of the word "fascist" and wrote about it.

Well, he was in a war against fascists at the time.
The people shooting at him were literally fascists.
Y'twat.

Agreed. I can never eat in a hotel restaurant without picturing 'Down and Out in Paris and London'

Easily his best book.
But then I would say that. I am, after all, a tramp.

Ah, the good old days...
These days I've got a knackered fishing hat and a yo-yo on a chain. Even rats give me a wide berth.
Which is jolly kind of them.

I'm guessing
he's of those naked types who wears a barrel with shoulderstraps, like in an old cartoon.

Friend of mine explained divorce to me recently;
They divided his earnings, worth and pension into two exact halves.
She got one half, and her lawyer got the other.

Occasional placement of polos would have made this film more bearable

I ain't down wit' da kidz.
I'm so old.
I got the 1984 reference immediately, but had no idea what Your Shape: Fitness Evolved is until, in a fit of inspiration, I Googled "fitness video game" and eventually found a picture of something called, apparently, an "Xbox".
I shall click, as I am rather tickled by the idea of a dictatorial video game console.
