I once went on the Corkscrew at Alton Towers
7 times in a row with no queueing.
It wasn't as much fun as this looks. It just made me feel icky.
Have a morning *click*, Elvis.

Did something similar with Nemesis.
I used to live nearby, and my school always went back a day or two after all the others in the area; so there'd be a couple of days in early September where the place'd be very quiet.
Nemesis had opened that summer; some friends and I arrived at AT just as it opened. There can only have been about 100 people in the whole park. First thing we did was go for five or six straight rides on Nemesis. And, yes: we felt quite ill for a while afterwards, too.

We did the same with Oblivion.
It took longer to run from the end of the ride back to the start again than the ride actually lasted.
We also did the Corkscrew at the start of the day on one visit...actually quite scary, not because it's fast or 'extreme', but because it's so rickety and shakes your bones so much! The other rides were like gliding on silk in comparison.

Yup.
I've been on the big 'un at Blackpool which is wooden and the Corkscrew was much the same.
My school, Denstone College, was walking distance and Alton Towers hadn't been open long (I'm utterly ancient), thus it was possible to gain free "admittance" through the woods because CCTV hadn't been invented.
Do I have to go to prison now? I'd really rather not.
