They sent me all on my own, I was about 23, staying in a hotel by myself in a strange country, in February - it was -11C!!! And they've never heard of vegetarianism in Stockholm.

about that time was when I met my swedish friend, and she was amazed our mcdonalds didn't have a veggie burger option like theirs did - and she was in stockholm studying to be a doctor.

lots of fish? They're the same in Norway, even McDonalds and Burger King didn't have veggie alternatives..

the hotel I was staying in just couldn't get their heads around what I wanted, and took me into the kitchen to point at what I wanted them to cook for me.
At lunchtimes I lived on dry rolls and crisps cos I couldn't get anything else to eat.
